- Administer local DBMS and OS for: Oracle 9i & 10g on Windows 2003 and Linux platforms, SQL Server 2000 on Windows 2003. Maintain backups for databases using Oracle's RMAN and SQL Server backup. Implement and test database and OS upgrades, testing first in development and promoting through to production.
- Coordinate all database related development (tables, indexes, constraints, procedural code, etc.), ensuring developers are aware of changes to shared database objects and help minimize impact on each other's projects.
- Build update scripts to update schema and data as needed when new application builds are released to clients. Clients run scripts on their own local database, so scripts need to be built to minimize errors, handle those that do occur gracefully, and allow for scripts to be executed repeatedly without error.

- Developed new database development processes to be followed by the development team which simplified database changes for individual applications. This allowed for each application to be developed independently of one another using it's own branch copy, and then merged back with the main tree when ready for release.
- Built framework for maintaining documentation of tables, columns, procedures. Worked with members of development team to populate and maintain the documentation.
